Yes, and I'm not too happy about it. I'd like to swap in a VX motor & tranny, but for ~$500 and ~$200-300 respectively (plus extra if they need any work done), I just can't do it right now. Or anytime soon, for that matter. Lol.

The few things I've done are listed on my vehicle's page here. What I want to do most is boattail the SOB.

One of the problems with the VX setup is when you do engine off coasting the lean burn function is disabled for some time after the restart. You may find that, due to that fact you could actually see lower mileage in a VX if you use EOC.

I EOC like a beast. I've been over 50% EOC miles the last couple of tanks. So....sounds like the VX setup won't be as fruitful as I'd hoped. If I could change my commute to be more highway miles, maybe that would work. However, I can only control so much when dealing with rush-hour traffic.

I think the VX tranny is a no-brainer, though, for the much taller gearing.

Thanks!

It all depends on timing my glides. Also, now that school's back in, I've logged a few sub-60 mpg tanks on the way home due to the increased traffic. BUT, this record trip was on the way home, but I left work at 4:15. Can't do that every day, though.
