I would recommend getting a cheap spray gun like the ones from harbor freight you'll get much better results from it over a roller even a rattle can would be better

Didn't Metro use magnets to hold his wheel covers in place, but he lost them?

This is what I was wondering. I'm gonna take this base line idea and modify it somehow to make it just a little more secure. This coming Friday when I get paid I'll buy the supplies and brain storm with my dad and little bro for some ideas.

An update on Betty White.

Right before winter--and the inevitable months of rain--I spraypainted my Wal-Mart pizza pans with some leftover white spraypaint. Here's a pic of what they look like.

They aren't a perfect match, but they're close enough. Come summer time, I'm going to paint new ones with an actual "polar white" paint so they look a little closer to the same white. I will also seal the rim around the pan so that it doesn't hold water and rust as easily.

Here's a shot of the back side of the pan. A little bit of surface rust, but really not that bad.

I noticed when I posted that there were some concerns about the longevity of using magnets to hold on pizza pans. Well, they've been on there for around 6,000 miles and I've never had even the slightest issue. I've been up to 70 MPH, gone over speedbumps, hit an unexpected pot hole and still have all four.

Speaking of which: Here's the setup I'm using, albeit covered in small metal shavings from the backside of the pizza pan and 6,000 miles worth of brake dust. Those neodymium magnets sit atop small squares of double-sided automotive tape. Keeps them from sliding.

To keep the rim from sliding, there are three pieces of foam insulation that provide friction. When I removed the pans to add air to my tires (I was down to 36PSI! Yikes!), the insulation stuck to them like crazy, indicating to me that they were doing their job.

Here's a closeup of what a neodymium magnet looks like after 6,000 miles of holding on a Wal-Mart pizza pan. Yes, I am a 27 year old adult male and just wrote that sentence.

Update 2:

At ~66,500 miles I installed grille block 3.0, made of spraypainted coroplast, a pair of zip ties and some double-sided automotive tape (to hold the corners down). Here's a closeup, featuring paint chips from road debris and what looks like a huge gap just under the emblem (in real life it's not nearly that bad. Think of it as an unflattering angle.).

From a distance, it actually looks pretty good.

Version 4 will be a bit cleaner, and will have a large Ecomodder.com logo across it
