Ha, ha, ha. Those idiots at Peterbilt and PACCAR.

They still insist using that lame "A" pillar angle setup. A 65 degree to the wind windshield, using their standard aluminum cab. Talking about tying-up all of their almost-free, outside designers hands!

And paying outsiders dirt-cheap in the guise of some sort of competition??

Why???

Because all their current high-paid designers and engineers are completely and utterly void of any creativity and imagination!!!

Like I said, those idiots.

Yeah, it does make you wonder about the IQ's of the engineers there if they have to rely on an outside source for new design ideas...

Crowdsourcing this sort of thing seems like a really good idea to me.

Cool:

Shepard, I agree with you; I'd rather see a windshield like the one on the Lumina APV.

I can tell you from experience, though, even good engineers sometimes put out designs that aren't as good as the ones they had in mind. The "use existing cab with no modifications" constraint looks to me like it came from a bean counter, not a designer.

If any real designer on here would like to see an idea I have been working on for 3.5 yrs. I would be happy to show you. Just know I do have it registered. I can be reached thru the site here, and would be happy to share. Mainly for feedback and different points of view. I plan on (as soon as the Wife lets) buying all the parts necessary and building on my own. She (the Wife) is a programmer and can take care of the code. If I bug her enough. Seriously it has everything to do with a trailer for a big rig and nothing to do with the tractor really. In my opinion they need all the power they have now just a BOOST to help them get up to speed and maintain it as they cruise the highways. I use Google Sketch up. so if you have that or are willing to dwn load it I will be happy to share.

Thanks all. You may like it.
