BMW i3 as donor car?

I just checked out COPART, and it seems the i3's are being totalled for body panel damage. None had airbags deployed.
The car has a carbon fiber body. Maybe those panels cost too much, and body shops do not have methods to repair. So they get totalled easily.
The car is not a unibody, and has an aluminum frame. There is a 650cc generator onboard to make electricity if the battery goes flat.

Might be potential for a project drivetrain?

Wheels and tires. The only other choices for a 19x5 wheel AFAIK would be MG-TC and Model A Ford. These would look sick on a '28 Ford 2-door.

PCI is 5-112 and the height of a 155/70-19 is about the same as the 165s on my Superbeetle.

The tires are $175 per each new.

Until just a few years ago I still used to see Model A Fords from the '30s in my hometown nearly every Sunday

Is your Superbeetle fitted with the same tire size (165R15) of the Brazilian '93-'96 Itamar series instead of the 155R15 of the latest Mexican models?

Actually both -- 165R-15 in back and 155/50-15 in the front. Big 'n littles.
