jeep in a box

What are the iconic form factors for the automobile? The Model T Ford, the Volkswagen Type I, and the 1942 Ford Jeep.

Reproduction pieces and parts are availble for all three, but for instance, a complete VW Type II bus body would be $17K. These Jeep bodies are ~$4K and as shown in the video they are made of 'Galvanneal' steel. This would be a serious foundation for whatever build was desired: diesel offroader, electric urban car, tractor for a foamie?

Personally, I'd go for a full aerodynamic add-on kit, a Veep-style rear engine electric drivetrain, and a top with four butterfly doors like the Ford Evos concept from 2011:

At one time there were stainless steel bodies coming out of the Phillipines. Here's a story about one such converted to electric:

The Jeep culture in the Philippines used to be stronger, with so many "owner-type" models which had some hot-rod vibes.
