A single-wheel trailer generates no side force; it makes the car ride normally, but handle very tail-heavy. I'd just build the extension very light, so it does not need extra support or licensing.

Doing that would give you a 6% mpg improvement at 55 mph.And I have no idea what would happen to all the expensive transistors that are also cooled up front.I would be very careful with hybrids.

I heard that we will not see them go into production because the government is saying its a "bike" since it doesn't have 4 wheels and they are not going to give them the money that normal car companies get to start selling their cars...

I wanted an Insight really bad too... when it became obvious I couldn't get one I started to look for a Civic HX and when that seemed equally as hard to find, for me anyway because of my own situations, I decided on a Civic EX of all things. I say of all things becaue the EX is the heaviest of the Civics and has a less efficient engine but when you compare it to my truck it makes a world of sense when it comes to MPG and saving the value on the truck.
I say stick with it though if you're really longing for the Insight. The CRX isn't bad at all either though so good luck in whatever is clever.

Well see the problem is, is that the CRX has been my favorite/dream car ever since I had one about 4 years ago... The problem with that is that I do not want a car that's super old and has little things that break on it all the time because I don't have a job and can't afford to fix anything on it so I kind of met in the middle and figured the insight was a good new crx-looking car

Oh ok, gotcha. Now I remember you contemplated trading in or selling the Neon for the sake of a CRX (HF was it?)....
I can't say if I think or know if that would be a good idea but I wouldn't discourage you. I've definitely wanted a CRX my whole life, that or a Civic hatch just... it hasn't played out that way. These two cars aren't the easiest to find in good condition and if you do the seller wants a LOT for 'em.
I'd also just like to type the word boattail in this post too.

Yeah I have asked some people in my family and my g/f about what they thought of the neon to crx trade, a few said keep the neon, some said they see where I am coming from, my g/f said she would not be man She knows I LOVE LOVE LOVE crxs and she knows it
