Boattail pickup shell?

I'm not sure if I should ask this here, in the Aerodynamics forum, both, or at all.

I've been thinking it'd be cool to use a small boat for an aero pickup shell. My mind has cycled around again to the '61 Ranchero as my next project. It has a ~66" short bed. Idahno if there are boats that small.

Then I think of the different possibilities for the shape, application, and such. Duck boat? Typical bow? Bow overhanging the rear? Add another bow below that (picture a clamshell) for better aero?

Then it can snowball into making a boat from scratch. 5326--Houdini

Thoughts on the aero aspect, boats to look for, etc?

Biggest problem is that an aero boat won't be a very good boat, and a good boat won't be very aero. The best reason for this project would be if you really want a VERY SMALL boat that is at least somewhat aero.
