both sides of a metal sheet...

I see the aero conversations, and electronics...they go into physics.
And paint is everything.

Remember the carbed cars that dimmed lights at an idle, infamous trait for tight downdraft. some added diodes to ignition, some added cop car alternators...100amps of zap-me-on-the-chrome-door-handle, some added 50k volt coils where there was a 7k..I am still giggling after all these years. They conquered nothing....

...it is the paint, and not just any paint, it needs the tough stuff, it is a chemically warned two part urethane.

Anybody else catch in to this stinky miracle chore?

just painting in channels and behind fenders etc, on an old sube is amazing...
and you know, for some very very powerful reason, it can take up to 30 days to conquer the "physics thief"...after painting with the real stuff.

A tip no parts store with their 3 dollar spray cans will mention, not even mechanics mention it, not many mention this tedious chore with real paint.
Some places keep the real auto paint section in another section....some don;t even put the two part stuff on the shelf....you have to seek it.

And of course it changed gas mileage....

I also, of all places to fail a car battery, I ran one for the first time to exactly 60 months, and it died like clockwork. The paint keeps the clock...pun intended?

Recent chores with my pc case reminded me about the car. I blew a mosfet off the motherboard in hertz heat, no excuses...it was the paint there too...

...but if you're one of todays' teenage kids, the advise is more likely to be, "...breathe deep, hold your breath, don't exhale..." as you paint away!

...huffing is not just for one of the "...three little Pigs..." you know!
