back up to 64mpg, and in winter too !

i just clocked 64mpg yesterday and it was snowing on the motorway!

my best ever is 65mpg and i've been wallowing in the low 50's for a while with a faulty MAF sensor. i really happy i'm back to to high scores again. it took a whole bunch of effort to get back here. i've done: oil change in crank case and transmission for thinnest i can manage, i've put a lie box on the MAF sensor to run lean, i've taped my hubcaps.

when it warms up again i should get even better!

Hi,

Are you quoting Imperial Gallons or US?

What weight oil are you now using?

I understand what you mean by "Lie box" Can you tell us more about the one you choose.

I ran a FIAT Punto in the UK in the Summer of 2007. When I got it, it was doing 38 mpg (Imperial) when I finished with it, it was getting about 53 mpg (Imperial).....I don't think anyone believed me!
