My better half and I have our salesman checking the auctions for a good deal on a C-Max Energi, so I hope to have some good news in the near future!

Skip the salesman and use Autotempest.com.

I see a fully loaded 2014 Fusion Energi with adaptive cruise, lane keep, emergency braking, sunroof, leather... for $10k.

Maybe it's big/good enough to replace that Mariner of yours.

We have a 16 Fusion Energi at work and I have had an opportunity to drive it around some. It looks like the plug in part of the battery is about 4 kw. I drove it about 4 miles up to 60 mph all battery. I jumped on the freeway and the engine popped to life and ran on both battery and engine for the 2 miles back towards the yard. The minite I lifted for the off ramp the engine shut down and the regen braking came on. Back to the yard was all battery, it used 1.7kw about half the gage and averaged 175 mpg or so. The 16 has an electric a/c compressor and electric power steering and vacuum brakes with a pump.

Energi

AeroStealth is lovin' his.
he charges at home with PV,and a major portion of his driving is electric-only,and carbon-free.
It's his gateway drug into a full-EV,which is slated for the near term.
Between home and car he's been able to lower his carbon footprint by 80% already, and the full-EV will improve that number.

This car will be the Wife's car but I am going to try to teach her the basics of what I have learned here!

Can't go wrong with C-Max Energi. My brother has this car, and I haven't heard any complaints from him.
