Can anybody identify this aeromodded neon?

Hey guys,

I found pics of this neon a while back. Since, I have no idea where it came from, as well as I cannot find it again. I'm just trying to find any information on it possible. I thought I found it on this forum... googling this forum only and any combination of neon search phrases has come up empty handed!

Thanx!

Looks like a 'shop anyway. It's unlikely the owner ever went through with the mods.

No idea but I have seen those pictures as well, Some of the mods look real to me at least, for example the rear wheel skirts seem to actually be booted/ screwed on.

If you are looking for any more ideas to aeromod a neon, you can check out my 2000 neon aero mod thread.

I do like his Kamback, it looks easy to live with, with the Plexi rear window.

Thanks for looking, guys.

I actually own a 4 door red neon w/o any mods so far. Just was curious for more pics and maybe some results.

orangustang: I don't know if it's photochopped or not, but things like that plexi dome on the back would be pretty difficult to chop in and make it look that real.

2000neon: I have looked at yours already! I own a 2004 SXT that I did basic front blocking on and currently working on my 98 4door to do something similar to the pics I posted (except, instead of a dome on the back, I plan to pull the rear window and trunk and actually convert it to a hatchback!). I do like your experiments and documentation on your own build! Keep it up!

ecomodded: I'd agree, the design is very good on this neon in question.

I think it's both. I am guessing the fellow made the wheel skirts but was photoshopping future mods. I see a shadow of a tree branch on the front passenger door that I *think* is repeated on the side panel of the kamm-back. It looks like the same tree branch shadow on the kamm-back is repeated in the second picture, which was taken in a different location.

Second pic is definately shopped, check out where the tires meet the grass. First picture may or may not be real, skirts look real to me, kammback is 50/50.

I see what you guys mean, I still think that the wheel skirts are real, and the kamm I am going back and forth on it. I think that the black side skirts are photoshopped though now that I am looking at it closer. I see what you mean about the shadow as well Cfg.
