I think the projection above that you had there is not going to help as much as a projection to the rear, tailored to allow the trailer to turn. Couple that with a vertical splitter as suggested above and you would have something to measure over time. The vertical splitter will help in the crosswind conditions we encounter on most days.

here is, what the setup was about, ( but without the trailer):





i will not build big (ugly) things for this trailer, its not used too often and in good shape. the roof spoiler was an attempt. next step will be a partial undertray...
