CBR500R fuel economy
There are some good numbers starting to come in for the CBR500R on Fuelly.

I thought the new Ninja300 would be a little higher than this.

I'm selling my Ninja 300. Bought a 94 Suzuki GS500E to replace it. I'll probably get close to the same mileage on the Suzuki as the Ninja which would be 68 MPG.

It's not about capacity, it's about output to capacity ratio.
For instance the NC700, the CB500R and any of the sportier 400 are a good exemple of this.

The 300 must need a 'tune'. Both friends of mine that have them get 55-65 mpg while I get a lot more on a 'carb'd' bike....

I've checked out that site before, just to see what others get with similar vehicles to mine.

When you read through individual entries on fuelly you will see that a small, but significant, percentage of entries are obviously a joke, or someone who has little knowledge of math and how to calculate something as simple as fuel mileage, 2nd or 3rd grade level math.

As more of these new bikes hit the road, the number of Fuelly accounts will increase to the point of pushing the outliers (like me) off of the screen.

That was a tongue-in-cheek response, I should have indicated so in my post, my bad.
