Cfd & weight: 2 dr vs. 4 dr Metro?

Hello all,

First post here! Does anyone know the difference in CFd and weight between the 2 dr hatchback metro and the 4 door? I'm referring to the late 90s/early 2000s body if that helps, but if you have info on the earlier body that would help too. I know the 4 doors came with the 1.3 four cyl. but depending on the numbers I might be inclined to swap the 1.0/5 spd into the 4 door.. so it becomes a question of which is smoother and how much more does the 4 door weigh. Trying to decide which to go with.

Thanks! - JJW

My guess is that the .Cd would be lower on the four door due to the longer roof line.

The four door is not that much larger than the two door. I would think that the weight difference wouldn't be all that great.

JDW,
Welcome to the board and enjoy your stay.

A point on Cd numbers is they do vary from model to model even within the same body style due to other factors like larger radiators and fluid coolers , wheel size options , detailing trim , grille design and so on.

The information you are asking for I am not able to provide but I would be interested in the numbers.

Cheers , Pete.
