Changes at GreenHybrid
As some of you may know, I've been a moderator at GreenHybrid but things are changing and in two weeks, I will cease to function as a moderator. It has building for a long time and recent creation of a hybrid specific, mileage database has given me a place to go.
The new database, myhybridcar.com, has a specific flag for 'modified' cars that are not part of the vehicle mileage record. This is right because the goal is really to understand what stock hybrids do. The myhybridcar site supports only hybrid vehicle, one of the reasons why I'm leaving GreenHybrid that is trying to expand to include non-hybrid vehicles.
Now I have an NHW11 Prius that nibbles on the edges of modified and am likely to replace a 2001 Echo with a 2010 Prius. The 2010 Prius will remain in stock configuration while my 118k mile Prius, now well beyond all warranties, becomes a great host for vehicle modifications (if something doesn't work, no problem.)
This note is just to let folks know things at another site have changed. Obviously a mileage database that doesn't include non-hybrids won't be very attractive to most folks here so I'm not "trolling for members." I just wanted to make sure folks understood what is going on ... even if they don't care.
