Nissan Sentra FE+

I pulled up next to a guy driving a Nissan Sentra FE+ and asked him if his New Sentra gets any better MPGs than my 96' Sentra GXE 1.6. (42 MPG) He said he gets 25 MPG. I would have to assume he doesnt check his gas mileage. FE+ should get at least 40, no?

Your car with the 1.6 L engine is going to get better mileage than the FE+ SR with its 2.0 L engine, all else being equal. The newer car is only rated 26/34, so the guy's 25 mpg is low to average. Your 42 mpg would be above average for your car, which was rated 26/36 with the manual transmission, and 24/33 with the automatic.

Welcome to the forums nayeliesuncle

Thanks for asking about my B13 model Sentra. I listed the few basic mods that I did to prepare it for the SR20DE mpg record attempt on page 2 of THIS thread. Not bad for a first outing with this car. I'll try harder this year to push the record a few notches higher.

I agree with this I was on vacation back in Manila, this particular model was made for public transport, most of them were used as an airport taxi, it was one of the most practical cars that time for Taxi conversion
