We owned a motorhome some time ago and first of all, took it from germany to the north cape, which is quite a drive (around 4k kilometers one way). When arriving there, I noticed that the front tyres were worn on the inside, right down to the thread on the drivers side, and down to about half of the profile on the other side... we found a repair shop in Alta (250 km back) and put on the spare on the drivers side and did an alignment.

The guy at the shop (paid with 2 bottles of vodka, otherwise there would have been no free time slot for the alignment :-) ) said that this often is an issue with motorhomes because when leaving the factory the 'frames' used to carry the body of the motorhome will be aligned WITHOUT LOAD. Then you put on 2 tons of bodywork and nobody re-aligns the toe... weight counts!

Back home, I bought 2 new front tyres and never had an issue again...

so long,

tinduck
