3D-printed house for under $4,000 (US)
There's an Austin,Texas,USA company using a 3D printer to build houses for as little as under $4,000 (US).
CBS Evening News did a short piece on it the other night.I just GOOGLED it,and there's a few YouTube videos available.
Maybe that 800-million tons of plastic going into the Pacific Ocean each year could be diverted.

Now add electrical, plumbing, windows, flooring, drywall, doors, cabinetry, etc...

Cost/sq ft is more significant. I'm experimenting with 3D printing for a (model) tiny house. The estimating I use is 1/3 for the shell. 1/3 for the foundation and floor and 1/3 for the fenestration and utilities.

Not to mention the land, which in some areas is going to cost a good deal more than the house itself. FTM, you can buy a tiny house-sized travel trailer for $12K or so. |

When I was in college the rule of thumb was (for a suburban lot) 1/6th for the land 5/6ths for the structure. I don't know that that's still valid.
The tiny house would need a $2400 lot. Maybe rural Arizona?
