No, it was the 2.2. I went back and looked up the specs. It was a 2007 model with 138 hp, 251 lb-ft @ 2000 rpm.

Funny how even with a diesel engine the civic totally flopped in europe.

in europe, they would look at a civic, and at a fit/jazz, and have no idea why ANYONE would choose the civic, I think.
also, in general, we didn't see many japanese cars when we were there, relative to here.

Instead of complaining about how europe gets all the good cars, why not lean into government a bit?
I think the gray market laws need to be reset to prior to 1980.
Perhaps an add campaign and petition?
If car companies noticed a large influx of folks buying foreign versions of their cars they might change policies.
