coasting up hill
Just drove home from a friend's house. My way to the house I get in the range of 80+mpg as it is almost all down hill. perhaps over 14 miles 300 feet of elevation. On the way home 54.4 mpg with the mpguino reporting 6.05 of the 14 miles engine off coast. average speed was in the high 30s as the limit most of the way is 45. Only annoyed 1 driver for about a mile till he was able to pass and I was able to slow down again. <stoked>
The 54.4 mpg up hill is about my average tank MPG which tells me that it is time to step up my game a bit. PaleMalaysian's astonishing tanks with a larger car than mine is a great motivator.
