Could 2010 underside use any improvement?

Over at Priuschat a guy has posted a few pictures of the underside of his car.

photos taken of the bottom of my Prius | PriusChat

Given these pictures, where would you guys say that it could use some belly panning? Also where it could be safe to do so. Only places I really see are around the gas tank and over the exhaust...but as I'm quite new to this, is that even safe to do?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.

I'd cover that center portion with an aluminum sheet (looks like it would be easy to safely secure), and then the rear all the way into the bumper- other than the exhaust. Leaving that open would also let any air escape that may be caught in it.

I was using polycarbonate sheeting for mine because of safety and ease of use, but the jump to metal would be rather costly, and I don't feel safe. ABS plastic I would feel safe with, but why the cost and work for the same result? With the Prius, that center portion would easily handle an aluminum sheet securely.

Thanks UltArc.

I was thinking along the same line of using a sheet metal over the center middle. I just wanted to make sure there is no danger of trapping the high cat temp under the sheet metal before doing so.
