dcb, I add to your misery

ha ha ha!

Ok so it's not too dramatic, but I found another problemo

My car doesn't like mpguino, first I've got to deal with this dern reed switch of a speed sensor (yes it is a reed switch), now this!

My 87 Nissan 300zx, uses grouped injector firing paterns (injector 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6) most of the time, BUT during cold engine operation and/or when rpms are higher than 3000, it switches to sequential injector firing (123456).

Hey, all I wanted was a miles per gallon readout on my car, not a new hobby!

But it turns out its fun so it's ok

How many other cars do this? Mabey a lot, I think it's a jetronic injection system found on many cars of the era.

We need rpm & coolant sensor input! (at least i do)

Hmm, I'd say see what it does first. Is it reading low when warmed up and below 3000rpm? What are the symptoms?

I should expand on this a bit more.

When injector 1 fires, theres a good chance that the rest of the injectors are going to fire also. They may fire simultaneously, or sequentially, or some of each, but it is still one to one with the opening of injector 1.

You shouldn't have a problem

(though rpm reading might be off *2, but I don't care about that)

Well if you say so, I believe it

No, I was just flipping through my factory service manual and found that and thought it might mess me up

I actually should have said simultanious injection (where all injectors fire at once) instead of sequencial at high rpm

And no I still haven't dialed the vss in yet because I keep working on the code and my trips reset, but I'm close now. I'll try the new code and see if that helps my reed switch input.
