Good points. I started this trek hoping to save gas. Keeping the battery charged has been hit or miss. I have been having a lot of fun. It's like gambling never knowing if I will make it to work and back. I can't hardly measure if I'm saving gas any way since the odometer stops an starts when I use battery power. Right now i have a spare starting battery in the back seat and I run of a new marine battery. My plan is to hook up the 2nd battery when I get in a bind.

I will clean up the grounds when I get a free hour to see if that help the odometer stay running. Cheers. Sc

I added an alternator On/Off switch and a multi meter. Took me about a half a beer to hook up. SC
