You could probably get a new laptop via Ebay for around that, maybe with more oomph and less power consumption.

I missed this earlier.

From experience as an IT bod "Business Class" usually means that they are less compact and flashy so that us Dilberts in the IT support dept can swap out components more easily without having to dismantle it all or risk damaging a fancy shiny cover or something. The components inside tend to be the same, or in the case of F****su slightly inferior - including memory modules only available at the PC World branch in Narnia.

Compact laptops are cool, although having more room has its benefits. Not only does the battery not come out of this one, the site says the memory is not user-replaceable. I hope that just refers to needing to remove the entire bottom, instead of an access panel, but while it seemed like a great laptop and I loved how light it is, I had been putting off installing my SSD. Why should that be unnecessarily difficult?

I got back my sister's laptop from the repair shop. $543.69 to repair, $85 just to inspect. I just told my sister that it died. This will be interesting.

I don't mean to sound like a salesman, but if you want a cheap used laptop, PM me and I'll link you to my Ebay store! But I currently have mostly netbooks!
