Jabb, here is one more recommendation: Remove your rear bumper. In most cars since the 1990's, the rear bumper is only a piece of plastic of estetic value, the real protection comes from the steel underneath. The rear bumper often sticks out 1-3cm on each side, therefore removing it would allow the bottom half of the boattail to be narrower to begin with and to start converging earlier. Also, you will acquire more attachment points.
