Sounds fishy. With the 2 vehicle comparison, you can see that there is a roof rack on one of them (The control vehicle) and their claim that it would take a .5 cd down below .2 is amazing (read "unlikely".) No A-B-A testing. just different vehicles.

From the page:

As further evidence that turbulent mixing in the wake of the van was reduced, two Honda Odysseys were driven down a dusty country road together. Afterward, the dust collected on the rear windows was examined. As shown in Figs 4 and 5, the Odyssey treated with FCSD had collected much less dust than the other one.
I would not use the results of such a test to prove anything except that the backglass was less dusty on a vehicle sometime. You can even see on the pic one odyssey still have a transverse bar on its roof rack while the other one does not, how serious is that?

The next tests were conducted on a 1997 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. The truck is equipped with a fuel economy meter that provides instantaneous and average miles per gallon for each trip. Fig 7 shows the miles per gallon before and after applying the Deturbulator at 55 and 65 miles per hour. These figures are based on repeatedly running the truck back and forth at the above speeds on a level section of highway near Oxford, Mississippi while noting the instantaneous mpg readings. This data has a statistical significance level of 99.99%. Actual driving on the highway at a variety of speeds indicated an increase from 19.9 to 21.8 miles per gallon due to the Deturbulator.
I guess he meant 0.01%. I know I would not use a significance level or 99.99% to prove anything other than the lack of any statistical significance whatsoever. I would really like him to show us how he determined that there was one chance out of 10 000 the drag reduction did not come from the deturbulator, if that's what he really meant.

They may be screwing up their ground testing, but I'm kinda impressed with their glider work.

Take a look at the L/D ratio improvement between 45 & 48 knts on page 9.
If it's for real, it's simply amazing! Yeah, it does look too good to be true..
