Deutche Post/ DHL builds own EV vans to spite VW.

Deutsche Post Builds Its Own Electric Delivery Van, Volkswagen Execs Are Angry | CleanTechnica

They plan on public sales next year. Good on them. I think it's great that EV's might offer smaller companies a foot in the door, think back to all those tiny British (in particular) makes of days gone.

Oh, and I want one.

I want one too.
But I want rear and side windows so I can read the post while it is being transported.
And a nice comfy bench, with mountings for kid seats so my kids can read the post too.
It may also be less bulky in the rear, I do not often carry much post around. Sometimes none at all.
Ah well, you get the idea.

Well, it can be used to transport things other than post, it would make a decent replacement for my Kangoo and to an extent, Prius. It was originally developed by a start up that Deutche Post later bought out.

Look what I saw in our local shopping mall yesterday...

Deutsche Post / DHL on the side. No mistaking it. Dutch license plate so it wasn't out of place or what.

I was waiting for my wife to pick up a parcel and had the kids with me in the car, so I could not go and have a closer look.
