DGC intake block

Hi all, new to the forum, pointed this way by a friend. A couple of weeks ago after reading several threads here I taped off the top half of the grill using an outdoor window insulation kit. I then took a trip of 200 miles each way and saw an immediate change, a little over 1mpg improvement. Normally I see 26.5mpg, it ended around 28 for the trip. I usually run pretty empty and this trip was fully loaded with camping gear and a 50cc motorcycle.

Last weekend I made a trip empty but for one passenger, and saw over 31mpg on the 120-mile run there, and around 30mpg returning. These are OBC numbers but the difference is clear.

Thanks to the community here for the inspiration.
