It was a4 speed, and I don't have it any more, but I'll check if I can find them.

Gear Ratios: Primary reduction 3.833:1, First 2.769:1, Second 1.722:1, Third 1.272:1, Fourth 1:1, Final reduction 15-35 2.333:1
That seems right.

what is the radius of the rear wheel, from the centerline of the axle to the ground?
Also 2.769 (2.769/1) is better than 2.44 (for a flat torque curve like a diesel or an electric)

Its a 3.5/16 tire oe.
I thought the longer gears should be better?
Also, I'll probably have to replace those tires soon... Good 16" tire recommendations?
I could get some touring pedal bike tires from wally world... Lol.

what is the outside circumference of a 3.5/16 tire?
I think a wider spread ratio from 1st to top gear is best for fairly flat torque curve engines like your clonemar (or an electric motor).

3.50x16 falls between 100 and 110/90-16. Center to edge was about 11.4 inches.

lol, actually the "i" is short, as in Kristy McNichol, I think
ok, 11.5 inch radius for the rear wheel, about 877 revolutions per mile. Good to know.

Yes, it's Christ, like Crystal, but without the "ull" sound.
So I measured that twinstar frame up a bit today... The motor won't fit with a transmission behind it, unless it's a 90°turn, so the motor/trans is longitudinal, and the output still transverse to the frame.
Strangely enough, I have a drive converter that does exactly that. Gonna have to measure more.
