probably lol. I asked for the synthetic stuff because I had a coupon and I don't think my dad did that before. Plus it's better for the engine.
plus I was well overdue for an oil change.

Out of my butt I'm thinking that hybrids COULD gain more from thinner oil. My reasoning? The engine is off more, and therefore (I'm theorizing) the oil runs cooler and therefore the thinner oil would help more. Like I said out of my Butt, but could be.

In which case I remember reading a SEMA article that basically said that the only thing you needed to know is that to "start" the engine, turn on the A/C.
