Mom kept complaining about her hardline and I offered to pay for it. We just wanted to be able to reach her if there was a problem with her cellphone.

jamesqf — Try vinyl letters 8" high in the back window. They're the 'open carry' sort of folk.

OTOH my friends upriver have Trump Derangement Syndrome. Here I am stuck in the middle with you guys.

I am sure that I could make time for it, but since I do not know where to find good information on both sides of local politics, I wish that I could keep a blog of the information that I can for both sides. I do not have any desire to belong on a team. I just want to know how things work.

Go with a VoIP option. I've got an Ooma and only pay the 911 fee, which is like $2/mo. Free unlimited local and long distance, though I think international calls are not free.

I think I got my parents off their landline 10 years ago or so.

...and I wouldn't bother with politics. Don't you think you've got enough distractions?

I will look into Ooma. 911 service sounds important.

We do not call other countries. We hardly have any friends in this one!

I do not know about the 8 or X, but this guy added a headphone jack to a 7.

Somehow I thought I was watching yet another Linus Tech Tip. No, I was missing that nerd's face and voice. I found this guy somewhat annoying, but does he wear actual shoes?

Asking the real questions.

So, this guy spent at least four months installing a headphone jack in his i7, and it probably cost him at least as much as another i7, but he did it, good for him.

But why?

He genuinely seems to like Apple products.
