Doing some work to the xB

So next weekend im gonna be breaking down and build fenderskirts...

But im kinda curious about a few things from those that have done them

What material did you use
Did you put any cross bracing in
How did you attach them to the car
Any other stupid things that I overlooked

I dont mind if these are permanent because im gonna make sure that they flow with the look of the car

anything is helpful... pics, diagrams, lucky numbers...

I did a quick search, got nothing definitive, so I figured Id ask.. Since that and I dont really have an aeromods thread of my own... so why not start one, Ya know...

I have an idea for xB skirts, but it seems like it would be a huge amount of work, and easy to screw up.

Make them out of fiberglass, but for each side of the car, jack it up, take a wheel off, and carve some foam into shape to generate a mold, so they actually conform to the contours of the car. They would end up looking pretty slick, and on the hearselike xB, be fairly appropriate.

Of course, I can say this sitting here, having never worked with fiberglass.

Failing that, make them out of foam and bondo. If you do a good job, no one will know.

I should have been more clear-- I mean expanding foam in a can, a la Great Stuff. That's been done, which I why I mentioned it.

I used coroplast and junk aluminum. If you spend $100 making them you'll never get your money/time investment back. So start looking for "free" materials.
