Over a year ago someone stole a $5 package off of Mark's porch and he obsessed over making an authentic-looking package containing custom electronics, four recording cell phones, and an automatic fart spray dispenser. He posted the video and it currently has 77 million views:
People made a big deal because someone figured out what was happening and intentionally did this to themselves. When Mark found out he removed the footage and posted it again.
Well, here is 2.0, with Macaulay Culkin, who isn't in the thumbnail:
Who collaborates with a celebrity and doesn't put them in the thumbnail?!
Mark Rober nine months ago with Bill Gates:
5:56 in.
In 2.0 he improved on his design, but also sent packages to a bunch of fans, chatted with them on Skype, and Cody in Texas thought he would do his own thing. Mark spent a week following up and Cody blocked him.
Mark figured out that Cody used his real name and phone number, but shipped it to his friend's house. Mark found out his real address, told Scientologists that Cody was very interested in learning more, and ordered $300 in starting materials. Mark also custom-designed a dozen postcards, such as:
- "Thank you for your $500 donation to Hillary for President. I will shut down the NRA!"
- Registration confirmation for a furry convention
- Testing positive for an STD
- Lacking testosterone
- Ordering a mail-order bride
- Owing child support
- Receiving cold sculpting
- Marching for gun control (in Texas)
- Applying to the Flat Earth Society
Do you think that Cody learned his lesson?
