Sounds like a good time, I will certainly try to make it down.

That's just around the corner for me. I have done no mods yet, so I could call it a baseline test.

As the only event of it's kind in the northwest US, I personally think it's a can't-miss opportunity. Nowhere else around here will you find a gathering of MPG geeks like the Lacey MPG Challenge.
With the recent rise in fuel prices each driver (rider) will have plenty of opportunities to talk with fair-goers about how to get the most out of thier transportation costs. It's a good time. Hope to see you all there!

What do you think, should I show up with 5th wheel in tow and be possibly the largest rig to run the course?
That is what I use the truck for, not as a daily driver at all.

Have been working on the GS500 and did my first test ride today. everything is solid and in the next week or so I will do a longer FE run to see what the changes have done. I hope to get into the 80 plus mpg range...

Skyking, HA that would be a real demonstration to see some good numbers out of your combination! If you pull 18mpg I'll buy you lunch. See you there.
Redyaris. Good to hear it's progressing well. No time like the last minute to get everything mostly dialed in. Seems for me that is the way it always is.
Best wishes reaching for 80 mpg. Even if you don't get 80 I'm sure you'll get close which is no small feat! What we'll learn from your experience will help progress the art of aerodynamic motorcycles one more step. For those of us that for now can only wish to try significant aerodynamic improvements, thank you for helping to pave the way! Keep up the great work!

I'd be flying blind if I don't get my combo gauge working again. My tattletale is the boost gauge. Keep that under 5 or 6 and I should do OK. 18? not until I get the full mods done

skyking, how about just bringing the Dodge? Without the trailer using some looong coasting you should crack 23 easy on the (top secret until the day of the event) route.
Some people would be pretty suprised how well a well driven diesel can perform.

Time?
Your info says show up by 8:30, but the application says between 9 and 10.
I was hoping the weather would be better. Didn't get nearly as many mods done as I was hoping, gotta try and work out some kinks on the wheel/tire end tonight, but I should be there in the Saturn. Not really a "baseline" since I already did some mods, but will give me an idea of how close I am to my goal. Best tank so far is 33 (auto trans). Hoping for 35 at the event.
