E-Cannonball germany

There is an interesting event happening in germany next weekend.
Over 70 electric cars will attempt to get from one city to another as quickly as possible (while not breaking any laws).
As many of you might know, we have parts of our highway free of any speed limits, so some people will go pretty fast and different strategies for traveling speed as well as routes will be used.
The Porsche Taycans and Audi E-Tron GTs are likely going very fast as they can go do so without overheating and they can make use of our 350 kW charging infrastructure.
Meanwhile the Teslas will need to take it a little slower, but have an edge in therms of range.
I might be able to visit the start and take a few pics there.

It's more of a proof of electric cars beeing ready for long distance travel at speed than the competitions on this website.
None the less, it's interesting and I'll probably be there to watch and take some pics.

Mustang convertible?

Apple Maps says 401 miles in 6 hrs 6 minutes. That's 645.3469 kilometers in European.

Well, the higher classes have to arrive with a nearly full battery.
So making it without charging even once is impossible by design.

Watched some program on TV the other night where a guy races an audi gasser, tesla and mustang to race to Niagara falls from Manhattan and back, about 1000 miles round trip. The tesla was about an hour behind the gasser, the mustang was 8, but the mustang had many problems finding working chargers.

Was it a 1964 Mustang? I don't understand why the Mustang is a benchmark, and not an EV West Porsche 911/914.

There has been a german Tesla driver called Horst Lüning who did 2.644 km in 24 h with a stock Tesla Model 3 on public roads, wich means he averaged 110,2 km/h, wich I'd consider quite respectable.
I wonder what kind of speed the Audi average on the way to the Niagara falls...
