seems like this would be great for very drafty homes, or if using a wood burning furnace. in a well insulated home w/ a programmable thermostat i wouldnt think there would be much 'meat left on the bone' that these would get at

I dont get it.
I use a broom handle and go around adjusting all the 8 vents in my home to redistribute the air twice a year.
If your home is drafty, fix that instead of buying a high tech way to redistribute funds from your wallet.
