just read my post! I shouldn have said orthopedic casts for broken limbs, guess thats not really clear. Epoxy causes dermatitus, and polyester is not good either, this one comes in a bandage that is dipped in water to make it set and does not cause any problems on human skin as far as I know. My wife has a broken leg, thats why I thought of it. they call it a "fibre glass cast" but I think it's actually polyester cloth with a special resin. much better than the old plaster of paris cast.

I have used a lot of it. Mostly West Systems but I developed an allergy to it. THe last batch I purchased was from US composites. So far so good. It does wash up better (not perfect, but better) than West.

A mess to use from an environmental standpoint? I bet it takes a barrel of oil to make a few gallons of epoxy and hardener. Is it better to put in a 100 dollars worth of material rather than purchasing a new car with 5000-10000 dollars of highly refined metals plastics, toxic batteries.

Aqua-Resin® | Non-Toxic Casting, Laminating, and Sculpting Resin

I came across this much more planet friendly resin today.

Non toxic and water based .
