Ecomodders featured on CNET news.com

It's currently on the front page @ http://news.com , but I expect it'll be replaced with something else soon.

Permanent link: http://www.news.com/Photos-Ecomodder...?tag=nefd.lede

It's a slide show, focusing almost entirely on aeromods. There are descriptive captions with each image.

Naturally, basjoos' Aerocivic leads the parade, followed by ...
  • another image of the Aerocivic!
  • an image of a 1947 Tatra T87 to compare to basjoos' car
  • the kardboard partial Kammback prototype on my car
  • AndrewJ's distinctive front air dam :P
  • a side shot of Andrew's car (the one with the cat!)
  • Phil Knox' (aerohead) Toyota T-100 - rightfully identified as a pioneering modder
  • Brett's (bondo) beautifully made aero bed cap on his Ford F-150 pickup
  • bestmapman's Photoshop exercise showing his ideal Prius
  • a trio of older vehicles, examples of streamlined "styling", if not actually efficient shapes
  • a Hummer H2, as an example of what NOT to do, aerodynamically
  • and to top it off, a picture of the stunning Aptera 3-wheeler, destined to become a future icon of aerodynamic achievement

Awesome work. Now just don't let the host shut the site down again during the new round of publicity.

You got that right! We're not digging this one

No more big digg attempts until we're set up on our own brand new box (probably sometime next week).

Too bad they didn't show the boattailed 1939 Maybach. That is a better comparison to my car than the Tatra.

That's awesome man. It seems like you guys really have something great going here. I know from my experience here so far and all this publicity that this site is really great. It's nice to see that people are finally starting to take a serious interest in saving fuel.

This article is how I found out about the site, and now I'm considering doing some aeromods to my 91 civic!

Well, CNET liked us so much, they put basjoos' car back on the front page of news.com for most of Monday again. Reduce, reuse, recycle - even in the news biz.
