Well for one: zilla means it is DC so you only have zilla, curtis and one or two others and obsolete rarer stuff for controller unless you like odd unreliable chinese hardware. Yeah its familiar. I particularly like how plain the graphics are.
Oooh a Kostov. It cleaner than my conversion

The 914 is a good platform for conversion. Here's a Fiero at the Amity, Oregon, pancake breakfast.
Those are the good Empi Riviera 5-spoke wheels without the raised medallion on the spokes. I had a set on my Type III squareback.

I'd like to install my Lexus motor in a rolling chassis, and maybe make the battery boxes; and then decide whether to finish or sell it on.

Hmmmm I spent $10k on the ranger conversion for all brand new top of the line parts. Tesla parts weren't available but volts were. Tripling my range would add 6 grand with todays prices for 120 miles. That's driving an aero brick.
You can get an entire wrecked tesla for under 5 grand delivered to your driveway. Add a grand for all the dongles to spoof tesla control. So maybe 10 grand total for that rat rod.
