Winter is approaching, time to get things in order, or better: ordered in.
I ordered a cheap regulatable DC-DC converter so I can set the TEC to a more or less regulated temperature differential:
DC 3~40V to DC 1.5~35V Voltage Step Down Transformer Module 2015

and a bimetal switch that breaks at 40°C and reengages at 25°C.

I will put the switch somewhere on the radiator top so it will break once the engine is heated up, and stay off until it has cooled down for an hour or so.

My UltraGauge will tell me what effect it will have on the intake air temp.
