Em-ug
Owned the classic for over a year now and bought a new EM for a friend, and after seeing the short trip feature I just HAD to have one. I gave my classic to another friend who isn't INTO efficient driving (to hopefully plant a seed) and picked up the EM version. Thrilled to death with the short trip feature!

Yes, but I have been trying very hard to find a way to 'plant the seed' with my friend who is extremely inefficient!

Great idea seeding eco driving in a friend.
I have the early version. Can you explain what the short trip feature does?
Have considered doing the upgrade, but don't want to live with not having it while waiting on the mailman.

The short trip gives you the averages PER trip, every time you turn the key on is a new trip. Great feature.

Thanks for the quick response.
Does this work with eoc? I turn the key off a lot. Is it more like every time the ecu comes to life? My UG only shuts down after the key has been off for around a minute.
Thanks

Mine turns off around 10 sec after turning key off, so I don't know how that will work for you. I don't EOC, unless you count E(on)C.

I got the new one for my wife and love the short trip feature enough that I'm using my car's "B" trip as a short trip in my car. If I ever get around to hacking a kill switch, I'm going to get my UG updated so I'll have short trip too.
