End of an Era-- sold my manual car, went electric.
As the thread title suggests, I ended up selling my manual car. got nearly as much as I paid for it too despite putting 60k on it over 8 years. Sold it because it was too loud for my sensory issues. Now I'm cheating my way to a kilotank with a chevy volt (and now I'm able to move my car without feeling guilty for starting a cold engine to move it!)
Go ahead, come for my man card, I keep meaning to give it away because it's not doing me any good anymore.

I like stories like this.
I find that cars don't sell themselves, and then only fetch about half what they are worth (IMHO). If I could get a Buy It Now price for all four*, I'd go straight to an Arcimoto FUV.
Then I could carry a Sci-Fi Future card.
*Realistically, only $10K for the lot.

It's a 1958 Canadian, with the small windshield, big back window and semaphore turn signal pockets. It's the best protected of the four, in the carport, because it's the smallest.
But it would look real good with four fenders and two aprons, with Koral Rot paint. I'm sure she would understand.

What car? Was it really that bad? On a sidenote, I remember seeing some makeshift sound-deadening resources which used to be common among motorcyclists in my country in order to prevent getting their motorcycles seized for unregulated noise while using exhaust systems that were supposed to be more aesthetically-pleasant.

The Prizm. My plan's to quiet down the volt, it's a hair too loud for me but I got a good price for the volt and literally 3 cargo blankets in the back will quiet it down enough so I know I need to do something with the wheel wells to quiet it down. Didn't enjoy the stuck bolts and rust on the prizm either.
Other reason for the volt is that I realized I'm a woman and a lesbian, so having to drive a lot more to see people is a given now, and the prizm had too many hard spots on the interior that causes me no reason bruises. The torn seat's stabbed me in the butt a few times.
Picture of seat.

Congrats on the new car! Volts are really tempting these days. It sounds like your username may need to change...

Can I get your battery when you're done with the car?
