EV Mode Coasting - go to Neutral?

Hey,

I have a 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid, with an eCVT transmission, and the same hybrid components as the Prius and Camry Hybrid.

I've been trying to decide if coasting in neutral while in EV Mode (under 42mph) improves FE.

My assumption is that, in Neutral, I am not charging the battery. Whereas coasting in gear does recharge. But, assuming my battery is fully charged, or I'm almost at my destination and SOC is less important, would coasting in EV mode in neutral reduce fuel consumption?

Are my assumptions on charging correct?

Thanks,
Eph
