I thought manufacturers had been working on their collapsible steering columns for the last 30yrs or so, tring to maximize energy absorption and minimizing injury. Unless there's no dash to limit travel, I wouldn't think there would neccisarily be an improvement

That rear body looks excellent but the frontal view reminds me of a BugEye Sprite! :-D I guess there is nothing new under the sun! Looks good; but I do not suggest those round headlight housings ;-) .

I think this started as an MG Midget, which was a 'bug-eye' Sprite with a more conventional front end.

I think it looks happy. I like it.

The MGEO is a different car than the Indy One. I was just showing a picture of its custom front end I built. It is a 'modernized' aero bugeye. The original was a 71 Midget as shown below.

This is what an original BugEye looks like. The grill on the MGEO is a vinyl printing of a picture of an original bugeye grill, i call it the ultimate grill block.

Car body is coming along, getting closer.
A guy stopped by today to buy a generator and he couldn't believe how cool the car looks. "I mean REALLY cool", he said. He snapped some pics of its under-construction to show his friends. You never know, it is a unique looking car. Today as I work on the hood, I got a sense that is has some look of a 63 split-window corvette, but obviously different.

Have made a lot of progress on the bodywork, but unfortunately still a lot left to go.

I thought I'd ask if anyone knows a good way to get a list of all auto repair shops and/or body shops in a given state? Google not too helpful.
These are the people that will be building this car for their local customers of the kits. It is a real key to having the scale needed to make a big impact.

Also, anyway to change the title of this thread to Indy One from EZone3 ?

Hey why not another question, do you think kickstarter is the way to go?
They take 10% of the funds, but lend some credibility, whereas taking deposits on my own website might seem a lot more risky.

I think it takes a mod to edit the thread title. Post in Forum News & Feedback - Fuel Economy, Hypermiling, EcoModding News and Forum - EcoModder.com or just start a new thread with a link back to this one.

I'm not sure about in-state body shops. Have you looked at Local Motors?

Isn't this a wonderful time to be on this planet? For the first 25 or 30 years Internet had anonymity and authentication, but was missing the third leg of the tripod to make a fully functional platform—anonymous digital cash. Now we have cryptocurrencies so Internet really starts to amount to something.

By accepting crypto- you can take advantages of escrow, or just the consensus without trust. Here is a crowd-funding platform that might fill your need:

https://startcoin.org/

I haven't used it myself, but I follow Max [one of the founders] Keiser's broadcasts. Note the improved security and 60-second heartbeat. You can hold Startcoin, or exchange instantly for Bitcoin or fiat dollars.

Good luck marketing anything automotive using the word 'Indy'. Try Googling that once and take a look at what you see. Checked with trademark registration?
