So a close-to-$1000 experiment.

What are the HVX moods
Thanks for the heads up! In some distant future I've actually thought about making my own ignition system with separate spark tables for each cylinder. (Talk about being a perfectionist!)

I would make it run off a Ford TFI module and a Toyota 1.5ohm coil. I've heard these do well for super lean burning in VW engines.

HVX mods are oiling mods designed to get more oil to the heads and thus cool them better:
Bob Hoover's Blog: HVX MODS

Of course with all the work done to this car I really ought to just keep it for my long distance driving.

Thanks. You sell that and they will never sufficiently appreciate what they have.

Magnaspark had 3 or 4 levels of tech, from basically a Ford Hall effect sensor in a billet aluminum housing to something that doesn't even have a rotor. Maybe double-check the ventilation in the housing or dismantle it and anodize/paint the housing and reassemble.

I was reading something else and I thought about this.
Quote:
For a super tune, Motion would install metal core Packard 535 spark plug wires, with Rajah bakelite plug clips
If you don't have a radio the noise-surpressing wires aren't necessary, and the Rajah SS-SOS part would fit the applcation.
