Final gear drives for GEO METRO, Swift...Firefly

Hi there and hello.

I just sourced a number of final gears from the initiators of a French site in Canada.
I'll be installing ON MY OWN 3 CYLINDER MANUAL TRANSMISSION the final gear set from the 4 cylinder single overhead tranny.

final ratio is 3.523
This is the gear set used to lower final revs from 3000 at 65 miles an hour to 2500.

Of course, after dropping in the XFi cam, more torque in the lower gears will be available.
The club members from whom I got this do have more available in pristine condition. What they do is find these GS trannys and get the gears from them to replace their own damaged in over the top excentricities. They obtain around 240hp from their engines......

The main gears are identical, only the final drives are different. So, if any of you want to go the economy route, I can put you in touch direct. The main man is asking $100 for both parts.

OR HE WILL SWAP FOR FREE IF YOU HAVE THE GT SET IN GOOD CONDITION

The economy teeth count is 21 and 74 for the ring. You can see a picture here:

The suggestion is that the top bearing should be changed.

Final drive gear for Geo metro, where do i find???

Hey, does anyone have the name and address where i can find the final drive gear set. I read some forms and pulled a tranny from a 1995 1.3 geo metro sedan but the crwnwell gear teeth were 79 teeth lower than my garden variety metro at 78 teeth. So i guess i bought the wrong tranny but now stuck with it. can anyone lead me to the people i need to talk to to get a final drive gear set? thanks for any info, steve

I'm also in need of either a 1.3l swift tranny or an equivalent final drive. Please inform.
