First tank over 40 mpg for the Cobalt!

Just wanted to toot my horn. Coby managed it's best tank yet: 40.42mpg!

Unlike most tanks, this particular one was all road tripping. First from the Milwaukee area to the Green Bay area (via I-41 to Fond du Lac, then US-151 and hwy 55 to Kaukana and up) and back again (via I-41). Then to Madison and back again (I-94), with a fair amount of driving in the city itself.

This was on Costco gas. I used a light-ish foot with no cruise control on the way to Green Bay and Madison, cruise control at 70mph with air conditioning on the way back from Green Bay, and cruise control at 65mph on the way back from Madison.

No mods (aside from a half-missing mud flap).

Definitely a happy camper. I'm curious to see what she'll do on a trip to South Dakota next month.

Oh, also, has anyone else with a Cobalt had Scangauge issues? Mine was causing all sorts of fun, with random warning chimes and errors, and even lack of power (something to do with the drive by wire? Or some sort of limp mode?). Unplugged the Scangauge and everything was grand. I just got a new cable in the mail to test.

Just an fyi, the new cable has fixed the issues I was seeing with the Cobalt and the Scangauge. I have definitely missed having it in the car.

Rooster, none of that sounds fun.
