Depending on whomever you talk to, it's either said that water from a garden hose is either safe or corrosive to an aluminum block due to the sediments that come from municipal water. So whenever it comes to flushing and filling the cooling system, I've often felt that I was either rolling the dice by doing one thing, or being neglectful without doing the other.
With that in mind, I may have discovered a way to flush as well as back flush the cooling system with distilled water, without the use of the water pressure which would otherwise come my garden hose.
It's a drill powered water pump, which can empty a 5 gallon bucket in under minute. I've been planning on flushing and filling my cooling system since late fall, whereas I will be adding this little gadget to the list. I think that I will make a trip to Harbor Freight & get back to everyone.
