Forum & server upgrade - keep an eye out for errors
 

We did a number of upgrades to the server hardware & software this morning that will speed up the site. We also switched over to https for better security.



Everything went relatively smoothly and all seems to be in order. But keep an eye out for errors anyway -- we always find some after the fact.



Let us know here if you spot any.

Took longer than we thought it would, but we're back!!

Found one: the Google-powered search box on the top of each page is borked. But the Advanced search (vB Forum-powered) link beneath it still works.


Added to the list. I know what the issue is.

I see that my most recent logon(s?) are not reflected in what I see for Recent Posts. No biggie - just good to know why it is happening.

It fixed a problem where images here would not embed in other forums. I'm guessing the other forums required SSL to display images.

The Recent posts / Pics link is buggy, at least the Pics part.
It shows bugs.
It has done that for at least a year or so. Always the same buggies.

Not related to these changes, and no biggie (rather a buggie) but ... I'd love to see this work and show really recent pics...

User CP shows me all recent threads instead of just those with new posts since I last signed in.

Another problem: wiki is borked.

Anybody noticed the much snappier load times? Our server admin guru says it's 2x+ faster.

Yes, it is much quicker, now.
