Free kill switches
I found a deal on ebay for 4 kill switches for $1.99 + shipping. When the shipment arrived, I got 4 packages with 4 kill switches/package. That's 14 extra kill switches!
So if you want a free kill switch, PM me and I'll ship you one when you send me a SASE (padded). If you have 2 or more cars, send me a buck or two in addition, and we'll be good.
These are Radio Shack part 275-1548C Mini Momentary Push Button Switches, SPST, Contacts rated 0.5 A at 125VAC/0.25 A at 250VAC. Normally closed. It looks like they'll fit in a 1/4" drilled hole, and the red or black buttons are about 3-16" diameter.

It's worth noting that these switches are $3.49 for a 4 pack at Radio Shack, so free is a great deal here!

It's not the switch that poses a problem, it's the wiring. Anyone doing that for free?

Standard liability disclaimer applies. I'm not liable for what you do with your switch. Be aware there are complaints about poor contact with an earlier version of this switch. All of the ones I've checked with my multimeter seem to work fine. I plan to check every one before shipping them.

I was going to ask if you'd seen that, but I didn't want to be rude, especially since I'm not getting one from you. I guess I could have PM'd you, but still, I didn't want to come off that way.

Another person PMed me with the information about the poor reviews on Radio Shack's website. It looks like those complaints were about part 275-1548. The ones I have are 275-1548C. Hopefully they're a revised part that works better. In any case, my multimeter showed no problems with the ones I checked.

Hey Darrell,
If you still have a kill switch to give away- I'd love to have one! preferably a black one
Let me know where to send my SASE to, and how big it needs to be.
I still haven't posted enough to send a PM, but I can receive one
Thanks, Joey
